Radiologists
At Manila Doctors MRI Center, the radiologists are involved from the moment the patient steps into the center.
- Protocoling: The MRI exam is tailored to the needs of each individual patient and their referring physician. The radiologist examines all the clinical information that has been presented, including chief complaint, medical history, laboratory data, and prior radiologic exams and designs an MRI examination geared towards answering all relevant questions of both the patient and physician.
- Monitoring: The radiologist performs real time review of the images as the study unfolds, and appropriately modifies the exam based on initial results, in an effort to answer all questions while the patient is still in the MRI scanner.
- Preliminary Reading: Whenever appropriate, the radiologist provide a preliminary reading to the referring physician to expedite patient care.
- Final Interpretation: The radiologist reviews all the images , performs specialized post-processing work to complement those already done by the technologist, and compares the exam to previous relevant studies, whether performed from Manila Doctors MRI Center or elsewhere, in order to arrive at clinical relevant conclusions to aid the referring physician in proper patient management.
Because of the complexity of the work of the MRI radiologists, the center only employs the finest radiologists trained locally and abroad. Manila Doctor's MRI team of radiologists includes graduates of the best local medical schools, residency and fellowship programs as well as of world class centers abroad as well as diplomats of the Philippine College of Radiology and American College of Radiology.
